Jason

First trained as a chef at the age of 16 in NZ, Jason has worked in the hospitality industry as a chef and barista for the last 25 years. Over the years he has competed in numerous barista competitions and created specialised coffee blends for the cafe in conjunction with the roaster Dimattina- he is ridiculously passionate about coffee!

Jason is also, in his spare time, an involved dad, doting husband and (according to Brianna) a super awesome guy!

With an all-consuming passion for the hospitality industry and for healthy food – how it affects us in our lives and the joy it offers – Brianna brings a unique perspective to the food service ‘table’, so to speak.

Mother of two and a self confessed foodie and coffee lover, Brianna’s enthusiasm is seemingly boundless!

As A team

Jason and Brianna opened “Esprezzo” in 2008. A very quiet little cafe in suburbia that was immediately embraced by the local community. Focusing on fresh healthy food, organic fair-trade coffee and tea and friendly, personal customer service, the cafe continued to grow.

Seven years later a couple of re-brandings, further exploration into fresh, healthy organic and energising food and the cafe and it’s community are stronger than ever.

Now at the seven year point the cafe is about to undergo it’s biggest transformation yet! “the expansion” will be something to keep your eyes out for. A great new space for the community and a great showcase of the amazing talent of our barista’s, chefs and staff.
